Don't write off England warns Carra

A lot of people presumed England's chances of winning the World Cup went south the moment Wayne Rooney broke his fourth metatarsel. However, Jamie Carragher says England are still one of the teams that can be successful in Germany and their opponents would do well to worry about facing them.

"Everyone always mentions Brazil and Argentina. But it's like the Champions League, when something can always go against the big teams, whether it's a refereeing decision or a man getting sent off. In knockout football, it's one bad game and you're out. The game's about small details - there's not much to choose between the top teams at this level," he said.

"It will all be very tight. I would think other teams would worry about playing us, because we play a different way. Look at howLiverpool played against AC Milan and how Middlesbrough have come back in Uefa Cup games this year. There are not many countries where teams can do that."
