"In the first six months it was not easy for me because Italian football is very different from here," said the Italian defender. "Now I know what the boss Benitez wants from me.
"United are a strong team, a good team, but we are Liverpool Football Club we want to win and we will try to win until the finish of the season. If at the finish of the season you win OK, but we want to stay there."
