Dudek: Baros had a "difficult time" at Melwood

Jerzy Dudek is pleased to see that Milan Baros has broken through into the first team after going through a "difficult time" at Melwood since his transfer.

"Difficult time" now behind him
Speaking prior to yesterday's game against City, Dudek said: "I am very pleased for Milan because when he came here he had a bit of a difficult time. Liverpool, after all, is a big club, and it can seem even bigger when you are a young man from the Czech Republic who doesn’t speak English.

"Milan, as is the case with every player, needed time to settle in. Now his English is much better. He also knows the players, he knows the fans here and he knows his way around the club and the town. It’s much easier for him now to show how good he is. He’s done brilliantly.

"Milan was clearly determined to earn his place this season. He has lost a few pounds in weight and he has worked really hard. He could so easily have felt sorry for himself and gone the other way, because he had been getting games for the Czech Republic but not for Liverpool. It must have been frustrating for him at first."
