Jerzy Dudek has been challenged to a penalty shoot-out in aid of charity by the Wallasey Wanderers girls teams for his "we played like girls" statement following the defeat against Valencia last week.

The girls want Dudek to donate £100 to charity for every penalty they can put past him for upsetting them, but will he accept?

Wallasey Wanderers manager Gary Halls said: "We have quite a few Liverpool fans in the teams and even they were angry about what Jerzy said.

"It is not an issue of being politically correct. It is just wrong to suggest that girls can’t play.

"My players are very skilful and train hard. If Jerzy wants to see just how good they are he is welcome to come and watch any time he wants.

"It would be great if he took part in a penalty shoot-out with the girls with all the money going to the Sunrise Fund.

"We don’t think he was being nasty and he was probably just angry after the performance so this is a chance for him to make things right."
