Dudek confident

Liverpool go to Turin with a 2-1 lead from the first leg but are without influential midfielders Steven Gerrard and Dietmar Hamann. However, Xabi Alonso is set to make his first start since New Years Day and Dudek believes the return of the former Real Sociedad star will be a huge boost to the Reds.

"Of course losing Stevie is a big blow because he is a great player and he is our captain. But we have Xabi coming back and that's great news for us," said Dudek.

"It looks like he might play alongside Igor in the midfield and I'm sure they'll both do well because they have a lot of qualities.

"I believe we can win this tie. We have come here full of confidence after our performance against Juventus last week, particularly in the first half.

"Before that game Juventus were big favourites to win the tie but now we have given ourselves a real chance.

"I remember three years ago when we played the second leg of a Champions League quarter final and didn't make it through. I hope we can do it this time."
