And Smicer, speaking on behalf of the whole squad, says that they have complete faith in the goalkeeper than failed to make a single mistake last year.

He said: "Jerzy is terribly sad. I asked him if he was okay, and he said he didn't think he could feel worse."

"He doesn't have to prove anything to us. We know he is still a great keeper. Last year he didn't make a single mistake, but unfortunately now they are all coming at him."
