Dudek hoping for fourth

The Reds will kick off against Wolves tomorrow just one point behind fourth placed Charlton following their midweek victory over Portsmouth, and Dudek says Liverpool are now ready to embark on their traditional end of season surge to finish in the top four.

"We've won our game in hand so our position is much better than it was," said Dudek. "We have to keep the same attitude and desire we showed against Portsmouth for the next few games.

"Like Portsmouth, Wolves will be coming here desperate for a result. But if we play as we did against Portsmouth we shouldn't have a problem.

"If you look at our fixtures it is possible to win at least eight of our last games. Last year we ended with a similar run and the year before I think we lost just one of our last ten games.

"I don't see any reason why we can't do that again this year. That would be fantastic for us.

"There are some difficult games, but it should help we are playing Charlton, Birmingham, Fulham and Newcastle because they have the same targets as us and it means when we play them it's in our own hands."

Liverpool are currently one point off that final Champions League place.
