Dudek misses out

Twelve months after his heroics in the European Cup final, Jerzy Dudek has been left out of the Polish World Cup squad. Dudek lost his place in the Liverpool first team to Pepe Reina at the start of this season and the lack of first team action has cost him a trip to Germany.

"Dudek is a very good goalkeeper but he has played very few games," said Poland coach Pawel Janas. Legia Warsaw's Lukasz Fabianski has been picked instead.
