Dudek over the moon with 'brilliant' signing

Liverpool 'keeper Jerzy Dudek says he is absolutely over the moon with the signing of El-Hadji Diouf.

In his latest website update, the Dude signals Diouf out for special praise in the game between France and Senegal.

"I was very impressed with the Senegal striker El-Hadji Diouf, but I don't think I'm the only player in our squad who has said that," said Dudek.

"I am also very pleased to hear that he has signed for Liverpool. I think Liverpool have been very clever to get him now instead of waiting until after the World Cup when, if he had more great games, his price would go up a lot.

"I couldn't believe how hard Diouf worked against the French. When he lost the ball, he would always try to win it back as quickly as possible. That match was really France against Diouf, not France against Senegal!

"This is Senegal's first World Cup, but Diouf played as if he had years of experience behind him. He was absolutely brilliant, and not just in his workrate. I don't think I have ever seen a striker play so well when he has been on his own.

"Diouf gave Marcel Desailly a very hard time with some great skill and great movement. I hope he can keep up this form for the whole of the World Cup - and for next season."
