Dudek puts Tuesday's disappointment behind him

Liverpool were a mere thirty seconds away from their first clean sheet in eight games when Matt Taylor scored Pompey's equaliser.

Dudek was blamed for the last minute goal in certain sections of the media but the player himself says he was not at fault for the goal and certainly won't let it affect his confidence in tomorrow's match versus the Geordies.

"I know what's been said but the most important thing for me is what the manager thinks," said Dudek.

"I thought there was nothing I could do about their goal and I'm glad the manager thinks the same way.

"I was waiting for a cross but the guy miskicked it and it flew towards the net. I reacted and tried my best to save it but it was difficult.

"I managed to stop it but there wasn't much I could do about the fact the ball then went straight to an attacker.

"After the game the manager said he was happy with my performance, especially because it's my first Premiership game for two months."
