Dudek relishing keeping challenge

With former mentor Joe Corrigan joining the likes of Phil Thompson and Sammy Lee in exiting the club following the arrival of Rafael Benitez, the Polish keeper has relished the innovative training sessions produced thus far by Ochotorena.

Dudek, speaking to the club's official website, said:"Working with 'Ocho' is fun and it's different. We don't train as we did before with Joe Corrigan and with 'Ocho' it's a totally different goalkeeping coaching method.

"What I like about working with 'Ocho' is I used to train like that when I played in Holland with Feyenoord and I'm very happy. I have to say I was happy with Joe as well but it is different.

"It's much more different and we play game situations in the training and exercises and we are really enjoying it very much. Sometimes it's very funny because 'Ocho' is working hard to speak English, what we call Spain-English and it's getting better every day. He gives us great tips and we are taking that in very quick.
