"Looking back, I am disappointed with the first goal we conceded because I changed my mind when their player shot," he admitted on his official website.

"At first I had made the decision to push the ball away, but as it came towards me I suddenly thought I should catch it.

"As a result, it turned out to be too hard a shot to catch and Fulham were able to score from the rebound. I was unable to get up and block the follow-up in time.

"I know people think this is a difficult time for me, but I feel good," he said. "I always believe in myself, and nothing has changed.

"Sometimes you play great games and you help your team win. Sometimes you can't do that, and you have to accept it. But my confidence is still good.

"If I had felt a little bit down in training then maybe that would be the first signal that I wouldn't be 100 per cent, but I have felt good in training and I still do.

"Right now I don't know what is going to happen. But I believe in the boss. I trust and respect him very much for what he has done in the past and for what he is doing now. There is no question about that. We all respect him and we respect the decisions he makes.

"You can have bad luck, but I believe you can help to break that bad luck by working hard. That is what I am trying to do now."
