Dudek set for century

The 30-year-old Polish international, who was close to a move to rivals Arsenal before he finally secured a transfer to Anfield on the same day as understudy Chris Kirkland, has proved himself to be amongst the best goalkeepers in the world during his time at the club.

The former Feyenoord man may have doubted his ability to reach such an important landmark when a series of high-profile blunders, particularly in gifting Manchester United victory in a home fixture last season, saw him replaced by Chris Kirkland.

Since regaining his place between the posts, though, Dudek has once again reached the form that saw him dubbed the best Liverpool shot-stopper since Ray Clemence. Having already kept three clean sheets in an impressive start to the season, Dudek will surely have more reason to celebrate at Anfield in the years to come.
