Dudek: We can repeat heroics of 1973

Dudek admits the England game will be a tough prospect for the Poles, especially with ex-Red Michael Owen leading the attack, but he believes his side are capable of getting a win.

Dudek said: "We're not kidding ourselves and we know England will be a far tougher proposition than Northern Ireland, but the good thing is that we're in great shape after the win in Belfast.

"It was essential for us to start well and we've done that. Confidence is always such an important factor and it always rises after a win like this one. We know England are the favourites, but we also know how fantastic it would be to beat them.

"I'm not going to say we will definitely beat England, I'm not going to fall into that trap, but I do think we definitely can beat them.

"Everyone in Poland is talking about this game and our confidence couldn't be higher. We are in the right frame of mind to go out there and win."
