European football's governing body, UEFA, as a part of its golden jubilee celebrations, are asking supporters to help determine the fifty greatest footballing stars to grace the continent in the last half-century from a list of 250.

The ambitious survey, which is divided into sections dedicated to European legends from the fifties to the present day, sees Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish and Ray Clemence nominated for 1974-1983, John Barnes and Ian Rush in contention for the 1984-1993 era, and current Anfield idols Sami Hyypia and Michael Owen joined by former Kop hero Jari Litmanen in the poll to decide the best of the best for 1994-2003.

Reds fans hoping to lend their support to their favourite Liverpool player should cast their vote at uefa.com.
