Liverpool may finally end their interest in Aussie star Brett Emerton after he became cup-tied last night, after playing in a Champions League fixture for Feyenoord.
Emerton's agent Simon Konstantinidis is hoping that English clubs won't turn their back on the player now that he is ineligible to represent any other club in the competition.
"Brett played last night, meaning he will be cup-tied for European competitions for the rest of the season," said Konstantinidis.
"Unfortunately that's out of his hands and he is contracted to Feyenoord so must abide by their wishes.
"It is Brett's dream to play in England though so hopefully clubs remain interested in him."
