Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch were both rested for this game but both ended up entering the fray. Crouch was a fourth minute subsitute for the injured Michael Owen while Gerrard replaced Wayne Rooney after 69 minutes.
Gerrard must have thought he'd won the game for England when he headed home to put them 2-1 up after 85 minutes. However, a late equaliser from Henrik Larsson denied England the win.
Jamie Carragher played the full 90 minutes at right back.
