Eriksson said: "I think Michael is very bright, one of those big players who is famous in and out of England and he handles his situation very well.
"Himself and David Beckham are both quiet sort of people. They are not the sort to go running around and shouting. In that way they are more or less the same.
"But I think it is very good for England to have two captains like that and the job is in safe hands."
