Liverpool play Anderlecht at Anfield tonight knowing that a win will virtually guarentee them qualification for the last sixteen with two games to spare. Benitez believes this will be a boost to the Reds' Premiership campaign.

He said: "It will be great to have two games at the end of the group without pressure. Then you can use the squad and maybe try different players in different positions, and we can also prepare for the Premiership games with more time.

"But the first thing is to win the game, then we'll see. But, analysing the teams, it's true that we considered it a difficult draw when it was made.

"Now, maybe, it looks easy because the team has worked hard and we've done our job. We need to play at Anfield with the same intensity as we have done abroad.

"If we qualify now it will mean we have done a good job, having started our season so early and having to play so many games."
