Evans: Reds must stick together

Evans, who endured an ill-fated spell as joint manager alongside current incumbent Gerard Houllier, feels now is not the timw to criticise the Frenchman's managerial skills.

Evans said: "The main thing at the moment is to help Liverpool get back to form. The quality is there but the unfortunate thing is that confidence is down at the moment.

"Every team has a bad spell, it's just a question of coming out of it as soon as possible.

"Everyone needs to get behind the club at the moment. Hopefully we can win tonight and then things will start going our way again."
