Liverpool have not concluded their transfer dealings for the new campaign, insist

According to fresh information supplied this afternoon, Gerard Houllier has not given up on signing Blackburn's Damien Duff and developments behind the scenes could enable a transfer to go through before the transfer deadline approaches at the end of the month.
The funds are available for the transfer to proceed and there have been developments at Rovers this week - the next move is down to Gerard Houllier should he wish to continue with his attempts to bring him to Anfield.
Of course Duff may finally sign the new contract that has been offered to him but so far he's stalling on doing so.
Liverpool have made it quite clear to Rovers that they will not pay over the odds for the player.
