Kop Talk can exclusively reveal that Liverpool are monitoring Sheffield United youngster Michael Tonge.

Tonge looks set to return to action against Stockport County at the weekend after missing the last three games with an ankle injury but Liverpool scouts plan to miss this fixture incase they waste their time and will instead wait until he has proven his fitness and is back in action on a regular basis. The injury was only a minor one sustained last month.
The youngster has been tipped to make the step up to the international scene if he continues to play as he has been doing. He's described as a good ball winner with excellent passing ability and a specialist at set-pieces.
