Ex-Red joins Mackems

The former Red has signed for Steve Bruce's side for the rest of the season with the option of another year if he impresses. Zenden was a free agent without a club so was allowed to join the Black Cats outside of the transfer window.

Zenden is now awaiting international clearance and could line up against Liverpool tomorrow should that clearance come through in time.
