Ex-Red leaves Pompey

Westerveld, who won the League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Cup treble during his time with Liverpool, joined Portsmouth at the start of the season but lost his place in the first team after a couple of months and was even allowed to go to Everton on loan for three games.

Westerveld has had the remainder of his contract paid up and has left the Fratton Park outfit.
