FA Cup tie expected to go ahead

Burnley's game against Leicester at Turf Moor on New Year's Day was abandoned because of a waterlogged pitch. However, Claret officials are confident there will be no such worries tonight.

A spokesman for the Championship side said yesterday: "The pitch is being 'sponged' and spiked today. The covers will go over it later and stay on overnight until tomorrow. We are definitely confident that the game will go ahead."
