Fadiga: Diouf is frustrated

Fadiga, who was also linked with a move to Anfield in the summer, says that his compatriot has been left 'frustrated' by the amount of time he has spent on the Liverpool bench.

Fadiga said: "Houllier should give him more chances. Diouf hasn't been helped much. He's not the sort of player to give only half an hour a game.

"When we got together with Senegal, Diouf told me he's annoyed. He thinks he should have had more minutes and has told the coach but he can't do any more.

"He's frustrated as he feels under-used. He's used to being in the side every game and deciding matches. It's not normal for him to be on the bench and it's got him angry.

"Liverpool have made a mistake. Owen and Diouf play differently but complement each other and could be the ideal front pair."

The controversial Fadiga, never one to mix his words it seems, also made the bullish claim that his side would 'bury' Liverpool when the two sides meet tonight.

He said: "Liverpool's pedigree doesn't worry us because their form is poor and they are not putting any pressure on their opponents. I've watched Liverpool on TV and they've gone down hill. Getting knocked out of the Champions League in the first round really hurt them.

"They haven't been worth watching recently because you don't learn anything. I don't understand it as they've got a squad most teams would envy.

"Owen is a great player but he's having an awful year. I'm not bothered they are in crisis. We're going to bury them and we're sure to go through if we score
