Emmanuel Adebayor looked set to send Arsenal into the Champions League semi-final with his 84th minute equaliser last night before Steven Gerrard scored an 86th minute penalty and Ryan Babel wrapped it up in injury time. After the game Gerrard thanked the fans for roaring the team through.
"If the fans perform like that it's a big help to us. Other teams find it impossible and it was a fantastic team performance," said the skipper.
"Arsenal had a lot of good possession over the two legs but we are a match for anyone."
