Figo and Crouch deals close

Liverpool are rumoured to be preparing a £6.5m bid for Crouch which will this time be accepted by Southampton as the player wants a move to Liverpool. With the World Cup coming up at the end of the season, Crouch wants to remain in Eriksson's plans and sees a move to Anfield as the ideal way to do that.

Real Madrid have dropped their £2m asking fee for Luis Figo so Liverpool are merely waiting for the player to negotiate a settlement for the final year of his Madrid contract.
