"I think it's vital we stop Figo playing. If you give Figo time and space, he'll crucify you. He'll win the game for Portugal single-handed but they've got other players in the team as well that we're going to have to be aware of," said the Liverpool captain.
"I think for us to beat Portugal we've got to stop their key players playing... there are going to be key battles all over the pitch and we've got to make sure we win the majority of them."
