Owen converted Steven Gerrard's cross a minute later to make it 3-0 then netted his hat-trick on the hour mark after excellent work from Baros.
Owen's fourth, and 28th of the season, came after good work from Danny Murphy, then Baros scored his second to make it 6-0.
