Finnan believes we can win

After a disappointing 0-0 draw with Deportivo at Anfield last time out, Liverpool will probably need to win one of their away games in Group A if they are to qualify for the knockout stages. Steve Finnan believes the Reds can get that win tomorrow night.

"This is a massive game for us and it's one we're all looking forward to. We were a bit disappointed to only draw with them at our place but we have a chance to make amends over there," says Finnan.

"I think it will be a different game this time because they'll want to attack us more and their fans will be expecting them to come at us. Hopefully we'll be able to deal with that and then cause them problems at the other end.

"It's looking like we're going to have to win two of our three games, including at least one away from home. We're more than good enough to do that. It won't be easy because all Champions League games are tough, but we all believe we're going to progress in this competition.

"Some of the lads here have mentioned what it was like to play in the quarter finals of the tournament a couple of years ago and I must admit I'd love to go on a run like that. One of the reasons I came to Liverpool was because of the prospect of Champions League football and I'm sure I speak for all the lads when I say we all want to stay in it as long as possible."
