"Whoever we get it'll be tough because it's the Champions League, but we're one of the seeded teams and after our record in the last few years we don't need to fear anyone," said the Republic of Ireland international.
"Everyone is aiming for the league this season but I think we've got a good chance in the Champions League as well. I think we've got a squad capable of competing in both.
"I'll try to watch the draw - though I'm not sure what time it is so we might be training. We'll all be looking out because there's always a lot of anticipation as to who you're going to get."
