Finnan, speaking to Fulham's official website, said: "I'm definitely excited. As I said, it's a very big club and there are big expectations at Anfield to win trophies - which means a different kind of pressure to what I was used to at Fulham. But I'm really looking forward to it.
"They're not in the Champions League but they'll be expected to do well in the UEFA Cup. Fulham was a great club, but realistically, at Liverpool you've got real world class players and I suppose playing with them can only improve your game. I'm confident in my own ability - and Liverpool must be confident in me if they're spending the money to get me."
