Finnan told the club's official website of his welcome news: "It's coming along alright at the moment, the physio has been really good. It's been a bit frustrating watching the lads train and play while I'm stuck here but it's coming along fine now.
"They said I'd be out for two months from the time of the operation but they didn't really set me a target so maybe the Amsterdam tournament or sometime around that could be something to look at."
