Finnan to stay?

Finnan's days at Liverpool appeared to be numbered when it was revealed Rafael Benitez had offered him as a makeweight in his bid to bring Gareth Barry to Anfield. However, with new signing Philipp Degen picking up a groin injury and doubt over Alvaro Arbeloa's future, Finnan could be handed a reprieve.

Stephen Darby will also be hoping to take advantage of Degen's absence and force his way into the first team squad.
