Finnan's disappointment

Finnan picked up the knock before the Reds played Andelecht in midweek and has not recovered in time to face Fulham at Craven Cottage this afternoon. The Irish international has spoken of his disappointment in not facing his former club.

Finnan said: "I got an injury the night before the Anderlecht game and I'm gutted to be missing out on a return to Craven Cottage again.
 
"I missed out last season with a stomach upset and I've not been back there since I left so it is frustrating. It's only a groin strain though and hopefully I'll be back in seven to ten days."
