Fixture build up pleases Kuyt

After yesterday's Fulham game the Reds have to fit in another five games this month with a sixth on New Year's Day. Although Rafael Benitez has criticised the fixture build up in the past, Dirk Kuyt admits he likes it, as it makes a change from Dutch football.

"I love the Premiership, I love playing two games in a week. I love those high quality matches because I'm not really used to it," said the striker.

"In Holland I would only have maybe 10 big games a season against Ajax, PSV and maybe AZ Alkmaar. Here you have to do it every week at a high level, and I love it.

"It's great for me - it's what it's all about. You want to show your quality on the highest podium, and that's what I feel the Premiership is, the best of them all."
