Forget Moscow says Rafa

England captain Steven Gerrard missed a great chance to put England 2-0 up before Russia hit back and won the game 2-1 in Moscow on Wednesday night. Rafael Benitez has backed his skipper to put that disappointment behind him and concentrate on tomorrow's Merseyside derby.

"Steven has experience and character. If he has another chance like that, I am sure he will score from it. All the players need help at times but I think that Steven has enough character," said the Liverpool boss.

"But for sure, I will speak with him and we will talk about this and I will see how his mentality is, but I think he will be okay."
