McMahon, who resigned earlier in the season only to then change his mind, has left the seaside club in a dispute over transfer funds, saying it was impossible to work under the restrictions the club had placed on him.
McMahon had led Blackpool to the Millenium Stadium earlier in the season where they won the LDV Van Trophy.
McMahon hopes to be back in management as soon as possible.
