Former Red admits players were 'out of order' under Evans

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has admitted that he and his team-mates at the time he was at the club, often gave Roy Evans a hard time as manager because he was so soft with them all.

When Evans was in charge it would be fair to say that certain individuals really did take the piss out of him. Rumours of players only turning-up to training when they felt like it would be heard on a regular basis but that all changed when Gerard Houllier was brought in as joint-manager.

"We all took liberties with Roy a bit and it was out of order of us, all of us, as a collective group of players, as he was a forgiving nice bloke," said Collymore.
