Beardsley believes Heskey is the only player similar in style to Alan Shearer which is obviously attractive to the England set-up as he can play-off the likes of Michael Owen. But unless Heskey starts finding his form, Beardsley doesn't believe Heskey should be involved at international level.
"Emile Heskey is probably the only one of Alan's type at the moment and one goal in however many games isn't England form - I don't care what you say," said Beardsley.
