Former Liverpool defenders Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson have secured deals with the BBC to offer their expert analysis during the World Cup Finals.

The duo already work for the BBC so the news will go down well with viewers.

Meanwhile the Beeb have secured the rights to show England's game against Argentina after the ITV lost out.

BBC Head of Football Niall Sloane announced the news. He said: "We are ecstatic. It's the one match everyone will be waiting for and we are proud to show it to the nation.

"There will be no Prozone and no tactics truck. People want their football straight and we have always done that rather than trying to jump through hoops."
