Friday is decision day for Zenden

The Dutch international midfielder's contract with Middlesbrough expires on Friday and a free transfer to Anfield is on the cards.

"Money is not an issue for Boudewijn," said his agent, and father, Pierre. "Where the club stands in terms of Champions League or UEFA Cup is really important."

"He is a free agent on Friday, but we expect to be able to to announce something early next week."
