Although we are a big fan of the midfielder, some Liverpool fans would have loved to have thrown missiles at the player in recent months if given opportunity (Ed: Only joking Dan - cough!) and they could have been highly offended by not having such an opportunity themselves.
Seriously though, this was the only incident that has been reported back the UK, The Turkish authorities have praised Liverpool supporters for their behaviour prior, during and after the game.
