The French coach insists that media claims that his side have played 'garbage' throughout an indifferent season for the Merseyside club have affected his Liverpool squad.
Houllier said: "We have taken so much stick this season it has been affecting the players' confidence. We have been told we have been producing 'garbage' and that is wrong."
