Garcia hopes for Utd goal

Garcia has scored 25 for Liverpool, many of them vital goals in important matches, but he has yet to score against the Reds' detested rivals Man Utd. That is something Garcia hopes to change this afternoon.

"I've not scored against Man United yet but records are there to be broken," Garcia told icons.com.

"As an attacking player my aim is always to get a goal, but I must admit it would be special to score against United. Especially if we win. If I don't score and we win, I will still be happy.

"We are going to Old Trafford to win, but if we do end up losing our title hopes will not be over. There is still long enough left in the season for us to catch the leaders and overtake them.

"This fixture has big similarities with Barcelona v Real Madrid. I have played in both derbies and the pre-match build-up is very much the same, with the supporters getting fired up for it, and with the same kind of fierce sporting rivalry.

"Spain and England are two very different cultures and countries so it's impossible to say which is best, but both fixtures are great occasions."
