Garcia ready for Spain debut

Garcia has been an instant success at Anfield, already earning comparisons to Kenny Dalglish. However, Garcia has never played for his country- on the two occasions he was called up to the Spanish side he had to pull out injured- but that is something Josemi expects to change very soon.

He said: "Garcia is well thought of in Spain - that's why he was twice chosen for the national squad, only to get injured on both occasions before the call-up.

"Now he is making an impact at Liverpool he might be brought to the attention of the Spain coach again."
