Gerrard admits he is devastated to miss Liverpool's biggest game of the season so far but has backed his team-mates to get a result without him.
He said: "I am down about the injury but I will be supporting the lads. I am very confident we can get the result we need and get through to the semi-final.
"The lads have already shown this season that they don't miss me and I am confident they can do it again."
