Gerrard believes in rotation

Benitez has again been snidely criticised by journalists because of his decision at the weekend to again rotate his squad. However, Steven Gerrard was quick to jump to his defence.

"There are so many games. There are 60-65 games we hope," said the Liverpool skipper.

"So it is impossible to ask the players to play in every game. We have got to trust Rafa."
