Gerrard charged by FA

The Liverpool midfielder has 14 days to appeal against the decision, but is likely to face a three match ban for his actions in the goalless draw if found guilty.

"Steven Gerrard has been charged with violent conduct (FA rule E2) following an incident involving Everton's Gary Naysmith during the Merseyside derby match at Anfield on 22 December. The Liverpool midfielder has 14 days to respond to the charge," confirmed the FA.
